The Santa Clarita Koi & Water Garden Club is a valuable information resource to members of the Santa Clarita pond community. For location and questions, contact info@SantaClaritaKoiClub.com

Our club is open to all, whether your pond is large, small, or not yet built. All levels of interest are welcome… from hobbyist to show quality. Our club was created to promote our hobby, which involves the appreciation, care, breeding and showing of Japanese Nishikigoi (fish) — commonly referred to as koi.

Our meetings are informal, with snacks and drinks, we meet in one another’s homes and gardens once every month throughout the year, typically the 4th Sunday of the month at 4pm. We also invite koi “professionals” (veterinarians, product suppliers, judges, contractors, breeders) to present at some meetings. We share information and experiences of interest to most pond owners: Construction, Design and Equipment Selection, Filtration, Health Issues, Water Quality, Predators, Nutrition, Breeding.

Other recent club activities, for those that chose to participate have included an annual growth contest, and field trips to a koi farm, and koi shows.

Guest attendance is free, annual membership is $25 per pond. We invite people to attend a meeting or two before deciding to join.
